Gran Duque de Alba is a solera gran reserva brandy from Spain. Gran Duque de Alba is a modern expression of the heroic strength and courage shown by the Gran Duque de Alba, Don Fernando Alvarez de Toledo, Grand Duke of the Regiment of Flanders.

The Williams & Humbert firm dates back to 1877, when Alexander Williams entered the wine business of his father in law. Although the main branch was based in London, the company also owned cellars in Jerez de la Frontera. The firm eventually expanded and started to export of their premium sherry and brandy worldwide. The brandy Gran Duque de Alba Brandy Solera Gran Reserva was started in 1993. The pale bottle of Gran Duque de Alba Solera Gran Reserva has an unusual, voluptuous shape. On the center of the label, encircled in gold, is a portrait of the famous Duke.

Tasting notes are mahogany color with gold highlights. Complex bouquet of oak, prunes and sherry. Velvety texture with flavors of caramel, chocolate and orange, with a long aftertaste.
