Lepanto brandy is a solera gran reserva brandy from Spain. Lepanto was made to commemorate the 16th century naval battle where Spain defeated the fleet of the Ottoman Empire. The taste and character of Lepanto echo its rich and colorful history.
Founded in 1840 by Manuel Maria Gonzalez Angel, this firm has steadily grown in importance and prestige for over 150 years, producing some of the finest sherry and brandy in Spain. Lepanto Solera Gran Reserva is luxuriously presented in an exquisite hand painted crystal decanter topped off with a gold patterned stopper. Lepanto is obtained from pure "holandas" and some of it from sherry grapes.
Tasting notes are amber color with a fragrant aroma with hints of vanilla, oak, raisins, spice and dry sherry. Dry and delicate palate, with complex, persistent flavors with a deep and long aftertaste.
