Martell VSOP Medaillon cognac is from France. Martell VSOP Medaillon, Very Superior Old Pale, is a welcome guest at any gathering from a large dinner party to an intimate "tete-a-tete". Smooth and mellow, its fullness holds up well to ice or mixing. The label bears a gold medallion engraved with the portrait of Louis XIV, in the last year of whose reign in 1715 Martell was founded.
The color is golden amber. Its aroma is light grape, some wood and has a touch of vanilla. The taste is smooth, mellow with some complexity, has hints of dry fruit and is full with a hint of sweetness with a good length. Martell is the oldest of all the major cognac houses and whose success owes much to its distinctive, smooth and nutty flavor.
