San Cristobal de la Habana rum Ron Añejo Solera is the top class rum from Havana club. Havana Club started manufacturing this rum in 1999 to conmemorate the 480th anniversary of the founding of the city of Havana in Cuba. This rum is not meant for export therefore it is extremely difficult to acquire.
The city of Havana was christened "San Cristobal de La Habana" when it was founded in 1519. It was named "San Cristobal" after its discoverer, Christopher Columbus, and "Havana" was the word the natives used for the area where it was established.
