Herradura Anejo is a tequila from Mexico. Herradura is a different tequila because it has a distinct distillation and production method. All types of Tequila Herradura (Silver, Reposado, Anejo, & Suprema) are barrel aged, 100 percent blue agave tequila, and bottled on the Herradura estate without additives such as caramel and cane sugar. Herradura is an all natural spirit which earns Herradura BATF approval to use the terms "natural" and "estate bottled" on its U.S. labels. Herradura Anejo is aged for 2 years, a full year longer than the Mexican government requires a tequila to be aged in order to be called "Anejo".
